Sage 1.5.2 Beta

Sage 1.5.2 beta has been released to the Dev Channel.

Update (7/29): beta 4 released

  • Fixed some issues that would cause the ‘Check Feeds’ action to fail
  • Resolved a problem with feeds using certain character encodings
  • Sage feed root management more robust
  • Better handling of feed items that don’t have a link

Sage 1.5.1 beta has been released to the Dev Channel.

Update (6/28): beta 2 now available

  • Fixed a feed parsing bug that was disrupting feed checking and rendering
  • Fixed feed item read/unread state issues
  • Other miscellaneous bug fixes

For those of you who are interested in testing Sage beta releases, you’ll get automatic upgrades via the Dev Channel with zero delay while we wait for Mozilla to approve the official releases for the Stable Channel.

Sage 1.5 Beta Ready for Testers

In preparation for next week’s Sage 1.5 release (and Firefox 22 launch), we’ll be making a series of beta releases for people interested in testing the lastest bits. You can install the the current beta release from our dev channel.

Sage 1.5 will only be compatible with Firefox 22+, so if you’re on the current stable Firefox 21 release, you’ll need to download the beta before starting to test Sage.

Update (6/24): beta 3 now available.

New Features and Enhancements

  • Background feed checking
  • New feed parser
  • Turkish locale

Known Issues

  • OPML Export not working
  • Feed item read/unread state not always being saved
  • Livemarks may appear in the folder selection drop down in the settings dialog
  • Toolbar icon behavior a little wonky
  • Sidebar context menus transparent on OS X
